April to early June and September to October are the most comfortable months in the Silk Road cities. July and August are hot in the desert but ideal for the mountains.

How do I pay, and what is the cancellation policy?

A 20% deposit confirms your booking and the balance is due 30 days before departure. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before you travel.

Yes. Every tour on this site can be run privately on dates you choose, and our travel designers can build an itinerary from scratch.

Are your tours suitable for children?

Our family tours are designed around children, and most other tours work well for children over eight. Tell us their ages and we will adjust the pace.

What currency is used, and can I use cards?

The currency is the Uzbek som. Cards are accepted in most hotels and larger restaurants in the cities; carry some cash for bazaars and the countryside.
